1. What would you take with you, if you could only take a few things? Why?

4. If you found yourself away from your everyday life, as those in the annex did, what would you miss most from your daily routine? Why
Student #1 If I had to go into hiding like those in the annex did, I would miss just being able to walk around most! Whenever I'm in a class where we are only supposed to sit and write, my feet start tapping or fidgeting really badly. My legs are always itching to move; I feel so bad for the Franks, having to be quiet all day long! I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. Besides the necessities (food, clothes, etc.), I would bring with me a friend; only if they had to go into hiding too, of course. True, there would be more mouths to feed and less personal space, but good company seems worth it. All Anne has to play with and talk to are her sister, Peter, and the adults. I think she would be much happier if she had a friend with her. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but sometimes i just can't talk to my parents like I can my friends.

1. I think taking a friend is a good idea, being with your parents and maybe a few others could get a little annoying. If you bring a friend, you might have to bring their family though. (11)

Student #3 If I had to go into hiding I'd definitely take the things I would need like clothes, food, and a hair and toothbrush. I would also bring things to entertain me, such as books, an ipod, or maybe games. I would really miss just being able to go outside and walk around. I don't know what I'd do if I were cooped up all day not being able to make a sound most of the time like the Franks. My friends are also really important to me, so I'd miss them a lot too.

i would only take the essentials. Like Food, Water, blankets, and maybe some books to read. i would put 10 to 12 pairs of clothes on so i could carry more on my back.

Student #8-If I had to bring something with me to the annex it would bring a TV, X-box, and a whole bunch of licorice to eat. The reason I would bring a X-box and TV is because I would play games to keep me entertained. The reason why I would bring licorice is because I would like some thing sweet to eat.

Student #9-
I'm choosing to answer number 1, and number 4. First of all, for number one, I would probably bring a couple things that were really important to me, such as my ipod, and my computer. I would bring these two items because, first of all, the computer is one way that I would be able to talk to my friends, considering I would be gone and couldn’t see them, and also it would be something to do if I was bored, just like my ipod. Not to mention, I absolutely love music and don’t know how I would be able to live without it!
For the second question, if I were to find myself in the annex, some things that I would miss most about my daily life would probably be, being with my friends and being able to hang out with them all the time. I would also miss school a little because school is the only way (for some of my friends) that I get to see them. I would also miss the freedom of being able to do whatever. In one part of the story, Anne wasn’t allowed to go listen to the radio because it was on the lower floor, and it would be too risky. I would hate the feeling of being locked inside a building 24/7 and not even be able to go outside for a second because the risks of getting caught were way too high.

1. #14- I agree with your statement on listening to music and talking to your friends, but why wouldn't you just bring them! At least that is what I chose to do. I don't know who would like being inside all day, well, I wouldn't. That is why I would bring my friends, because sometimes a hug can be more comforting than words alone.
2. I agree with your second question. I would definitely miss my friends! For your first question though, I would bring a few different things! I might bring a phone, lots of clothes, shoes and blankets to keep warm with. I think life in a secret annex would be very hard for me live in.(17)

Student #11- If I could only take a few things with me I would take the obvious things like clothes, toothbrush, and hairbrush. Some other more personal things I would take would be my ferrets! They are so cute and I don’t know what I would do without them. Another thing I would take would be an iPod/MP3 player so I could have some kind of music with me at all times. If I could take anything else I would definitely take my computer, that way I could keep up with current events, and keep in contact with people.

1. I would take my cell phone and my ipod shuffle because I can call people on my phone and it has games. My ipod shuffle has music to listen to and it is entertaining.
Student #14- If I could only take a few things with me to last me two years living a secluded life, I would take the most important aspect of my life. I would take my point shoes and toe pads, as well as my best friend. Dance has to stay in my life forever, because otherwise, all of my inspiration would evaporate. I love dancing way too much to ever leave it behind when I move ahead. My best friends mean so much to me. If ever I was to go away, I would have to take them. If my life were an apple pie, then my friends would be the apples!

Student #15 If I had to take only a few things then I would take my cat-my very fat cat- a couple of warm blankets, as many clothes as I could put on, and a few pairs of shoes. I could trust Caitlin Holt (different school) with my life because if I had a secret I could tell her without her telling others. Caitlin can trust me with about any thing so I like to think she would trust me with her life. I would miss most, probably would be listening to the radio, I love to listen to music as I do things.

Student #16 If I had to live in the Annex, I would miss being outside with the other kids because all my friends would be outside playing and I would have to be inside in captivity. Inside the annex you would have to be quiet for half of the time you'd probaly live there. Outside at your own house you could be loud and play outside all most everyday.

1. I am student #21. I agree with you totally. I would feel left out and bored out of my mind if I had to sit in one spot. All day long I would know my friends are out there having fun while I’m not.
Student #17 If I were hiding in a secret annex, I would miss my friends and being able to have plenty of food. I would also miss being able to be loud and walk around the house, pretty much any time that I wanted to. I would miss my friends because they are one way to keep me from being bored and we can play games and goof around. I would also really miss not having plenty of food because I am used to eating good and until I am full. Good food keeps me healthy but I would also miss snacks because they taste really good and sometimes fill me up. I would miss being able to be loud because that is one way I let out some energy. I would also miss being able to walk around the house whenever I wanted because I would start to get uncomfortable and my back and butt would start to hurt if I couldn’t. I know that I would be able to trust my family with my life because they love me and protect me.

Student #18 Going to the annex I would first just bring the necessary items but then I'd have to think awhile to bring something else. I think I would probabaly take something that would keep me occupied (like a board game or something.) I say this because it looks like Anne is already bored and she doesn't have anything to do.

Student #21--Question #4: I would miss all of my after school sports. Without those I don’t get any exercise and I would not be able to live like that. Also, while playing sports, I can talk with my friends and hang out. Without friends I would be bored and I could also not live like that. So, I would have to say sports are most important to me.
